I am pleased to announce an increase to the monetary offering for the Applegarth Staff Service Awards and the Dean’s Staff Awards.
This change takes place to advance the goals of the Organization pillar of the Faculty’s strategic plan, Building the Future: 2021-2026. It is based on the recommendations of an implementation working group of faculty and staff.
The increase will be implemented in the 2023 Faculty of Medicine Awards cycle:
- Applegarth Staff Service Awards — from $500 to $1,000
- Dean’s Staff Awards — from $300 to $1,000
I encourage all of you to take this opportunity to nominate your colleagues for these important awards. Your nominations can help to recognize and celebrate the exceptional work that is being done by our staff members, and to inspire all of us to continue striving for excellence in our work.
A reminder that the deadline to submit your nominations is Friday, June 9, 2023. Recipients will be announced this summer, and the awards will be presented at the annual reception in the fall.
