Awards Reception
The Faculty of Medicine Annual Awards Reception, held each year, is a reception hosted by the Dean. This is an invitation only event. The current Faculty of Medicine awards are presented by the Dean.
Academic Gowns & Emeriti Recognition
Faculty members who have recently been promoted to the rank of Professor of Teaching, Clinical Professor or Professor within the Faculty of Medicine are presented with an Academic Gown by their Department Head or School Director and the Dean at an event each Spring. The event also recognizes those who have been recently granted emerita or emeritus status. This is an invitation only event and those being honoured may bring a guest.
UBC Welcome Back Staff BBQ
The UBC Welcome Back Staff BBQ is normally held each year in September. It is hosted by the President’s Office and Human Resources. Attendees must register via their unit.
