About
MedNet is currently hosted on SharePoint 2013, a decade old platform. This initiative is an effort to “modernize” MedNet and move all content from SharePoint 2013 to modern collaboration and storage solutions available at UBC. MedNet is composed of multiple components which will be transitioned using a phased approach.
Phase 2: MedNet Public-Facing Sites transition
During this phase, the Office of Creative & Communications and Digital Solutions transitioned all public-facing MedNet content (mednet.med.ubc.ca) from SharePoint 2013 to WordPress, a UBC-supported content management system. The “new MedNet on WordPress” is mobile-compatible and has a refreshed and intuitive user experience.
